What If Love Is Enough?
We often hear that love isn't enough. Especially when it comes to children with neurodivergence, trauma, or other challenges that might make it seem like they can't feel or connect with love in the way we traditionally understand it. But what if, just what if, love is enough? What if the problem isn't the love itself, but our limited understanding of it?
I've wrestled with this idea for a long time. Love, that deep, soul-stirring feeling, is so hard to define. It's not something you can easily explain, yet it's something we all crave. Personally, I didn't fully grasp the depth of this feeling until I got married and had children. It was as if a switch flipped, and I finally understood what it meant to truly trust in the power of love, despite having experienced love, and a lot of it, throughout my life. Why did it take so long?

It's like trying to capture a butterfly. You see its beauty, its delicate wings catching the sunlight, but it flits just out of reach. That's how love can feel sometimes – beautiful, present, yet just beyond our grasp. Some find this connection in family, others in religion or spirituality. But what if we could find the essence of this love and teach it? What if we could create environments where our children are truly enveloped in it, where they grow up safe and secure in the unwavering knowledge that they are deeply and unconditionally loved? What if we could all feel this for ourselves as well?
I believe this could change the world.
Think about it. If every person felt truly loved, understood, and accepted, regardless of their challenges or differences, what kind of world would we create? A world filled with more compassion, empathy, and resilience, I imagine.
But how do we do it? How do we unlock this deeper understanding of love and share it with our children? How do we help them feel it, especially when their experiences or neurobiology might create barriers?
I'm on a journey to explore these questions, and I'd love for you to join me. I'm developing courses that delve into practical techniques for fostering emotional connection and creating safe, loving environments where children can truly thrive. We'll explore how to nurture self-love, build resilience, and unlock the transformative power of unconditional acceptance.

Let's ask the hard questions and work towards creating a world where every child knows, without a doubt, that they are loved. Can we change the world together? I believe we can.

I'm always struck by how scientists (devoted to empirical evidence) often talk freely and openly about love, without ever publishing any real work on the topic. It's as if it is a given. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. It's certainly a tacit recognition that it is (in their minds at least) something unquantifiable. And perhaps this is because 'love' can mean so many different things. But what if there is something fundamental to be discovered at the heart every conception of love? How might that empower us to better society? Keep up the great work Sarah! x
